Temitope Popoola is a seasoned professional with over 27 years of extensive experience in the financial services industry spanning banking, accounting, auditing, insurance, and human capital management. She has a proven track record of leadership across key business functions, including business development, risk management, governance, finance, operations, talent management, and strategy.

Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, Temitope served as Head of Group Internal Audit, Corporate Functions at Stanbic IBTC Bank, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing the organization’s risk management framework, internal controls, and corporate governance structures. Throughout her career, she has held various senior leadership roles within the bank, overseeing critical areas such as operations, finance, customer service, and branch network management. As a strategic leader in human capital development, she was instrumental in shaping and executing the bank’s people agenda, driving talent acquisition, retention, compensation, benefits, and performance management initiatives.

Temitope holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of Lagos and a Master’s degree in International Human Resources Management from Cranfield University, United Kingdom. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel Development, UK (FCIPD). Additionally, she is a Chartered Reward Specialist and a Senior Certified Professional of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP).
