Mr. Osuagwu holds a Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, as well as an MBA. He has had extensive experience in banking and financial services, spanning a period of over 15 years. He was previously Head of Commercial Banking for Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, and is currently the Head of Business Banking for Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC.

Mr. Osuagwu was appointed to the Board of Stanbic IBTC Insurance Brokers Limited as Non-Executive Director on 22 October 2018.
