Mr. Deon de Klerk heads the Wealth businesses in the Standard Bank Group Africa Regions which comprise of all non-banking financial services across all segments within the Group. Prior to this Mr. De Klerk was Head of the International High Net Worth businesses.

Before joining Standard Bank in Jersey, Mr. De Klerk held various positions at the Liberty Group in South Africa. He was Chief Executive – Strategic Ventures, from January 2007, and Chief Financial Officer of Liberty Holdings from 2003 to the end of 2006. During this time, he was also a member of the group executive committee and related governance committees. He also held other senior position within the Liberty group from 1997 and began his career as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Johannesburg.
